I Have Achieved These Goals:

AMMENDED 2006 GENERAL PLAN

After my election as your representative in November 2006, I worked with the City Council to reopen the October 6, 2006 General Plan. This is the document that controls development in our community and is the blue print that directs our community's future over the next 20 years.

We established the Planning Commission and appointed commissioners to work through the many elements of the plan bringing them into consistency as required by law.

I requested that all stakeholders be invited to participate and provide their input in correcting the plan.

The 2006 General Plan has been revised as a workable and legal document as I promised. .  

Now that the 2006 General Plan has been modified, the elements are now less likely to be litigated becaise they have been brought into consistency.

NOTE: You may find this interesting that when the City Staff used an existing project supported by the community to test the 2006 General Plan, the project could not go forward. The Staff was unable to process it because of the inconsistencies and lack of flexibility.

After numerous approved changes to the 2006 General Plan supported by me, the project was able to go forward. We all know this project as "The Village At Los Carneros". The amended 2006 General Plan can now process projects that are submitted for consideration
